Park View UNC Monthly Community Meeting – November 2017

Park View UNC Monthly Meeting: Rats, MPD updates, the Mayor’s walk and more! 

Please join the Park View United Neighborhood Coalition, our community’s civic association, for our monthly meeting this Wednesday, November 1st. Our main topic this month: RATS!

We’ve all seen them lurking in dark corners. How can we reduce the rat population in our neighborhood? Join us for a briefing from Gerard Brown, program manager for the D.C. Department of Health’s Rodent and Vector Control Division on best practices to reduce the presence of rats and resources available from the city to help.  

We’ll also be joined by MPD Lieutenant Jonathan Munk, who recently joined the MPD team covering our neighborhood. He’ll tell us what they’re doing to increase public safety in the area and give us an update on recent crime.

And we’ll get an update from the Mayor’s office about a recent walk-through of Park View that Mayor Bowser and several other elected officials conducted to discuss high-priority issues for the neighborhood. UNC representatives also attended the walk.
