Park View UNC Monthly Community Meeting – February 2019 –  RATS and TRASH!

March 4, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Please join us this Wednesday at 7pm for our monthly UNC meeting. This month’s topic:

RATS and TRASH!

How to get ahead of these persistent neighborhood problems before they get ahead of you!

We’ve all seen them lurking in dark corners. How can we reduce the rat population in our neighborhood and get ahead of the problem as the weather warms? Join us for a briefing from Gerard Brown, program manager for the D.C. Department of Health’s Rodent and Vector Control Division, on best practices to reduce the presence of rats and resources available from the city to help. We will also be joined by Alaina Johnson from the DC Department of Public Works’ Solid Waste Education and Enforcement Program. She’ll brief us on how to handle broken trash bins, overflowing public cans, and other common problems (many of which feed the rats!).
We’ll also discuss the upcoming Earth Day neighborhood cleanup and the launch of the Park View Rec Center renovation working group.
Where: Park View Rec Center, 693 Otis Pl. NW
When: 7-8pm, Wednesday, March 6

Hope you can join us.
